That's the day that Florida Keys Mosquito Control District will open its doors to anybody who wants to learn more about what the District does and why it does it.
What makes a mosquito bite one person and not another?
How high do those spray helicopters fly?
What is that stuff you are dropping from that helicopter?
Did your pilots fly for the MIlitary?
The answer to these and many other pressiing questions about mosquito control can be answered Saturday, April 18 at FKMCD's Open House at Marathon Airport.
The will be simulated spray runs (using water) and other demonstrations during the course of the day. FKMCD staff will also be on hand.
There will be displays from our mosquito labs complete with learning stations where you can talk to all the experts.
