Dr. Stan Zuba

FL Keys Mosquito Control Commissioner, District 4

Dr. Stan Zuba was first elected in 2016 to represent District 4 on the Florida Keys Mosquito Control District Board of Commissioners during the height of the Zika virus outbreak, bringing valuable medical and public health leadership to the Board at a critical time. He has since been re-elected twice without opposition. A board-certified general pediatrician, he recently retired after 28 years of private practice caring for families throughout the Upper Florida Keys. Prior to making the Florida Keys his home, he practiced pediatric inpatient medicine and pediatric intensive care at major teaching hospitals in Chicago, including Cook County Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital.

A full-time resident of the Florida Keys for 29 years, Dr. Zuba has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to healthcare leadership, volunteer service, and the well-being of Monroe County residents. He is the retired Medical Director and former board member of Island Dolphin Care, serves as a volunteer physician at Good Health Clinic, and is a past president of the Mariners Hospital Medical Staff. He and his spouse, Eric Anderson, reside in the Upper Keys, where he remains dedicated to advancing public health, environmental stewardship, and the quality of life of the communities he serves.
