Mosquito Treatment Notifications : There's an App for That!

The Florida Keys Mosquito Control District has developed a Treatment Notification App that is currently available for download on iPhone and Android platforms.

Once downloaded, the FKMCD Treatment App is able to provide updates about scheduled helicopter and truck sprays. Users also have the ability to place a residential or commercial request for mosquito control service.

Among the available treatment maps, there is a layer that display the mosquito 'Landing Rate Counts' as compiled and reported by FKMCD's specially trained inspectors in the upper, middle and lower keys.

Most of FKMCD's treatment priorities are based in part on daily 'landing rate counts'.

FKMCD also posts treatment notifications on Facebook and X so it is helpful to follow both of those pages.

Treatment Maps & Text Notification

Landing Rate Counts

The Spray Maps section also contains a choice that will allow you to look at the most recent results from the landing rate count stations as reported by trained FKMCD mosquito Inspectors.
